About PayMetric Labs
Tech pay across borders is hard to benchmark accurately. Most published figures blend seniority, age out of date, or sit behind a paywall. We built PayMetric Labs so people making real pay decisions get current, like-for-like data.
22 global markets
Full salary & rate benchmarks
26 markets
Take-home calculators live
Always free
No paywall on core data
Tax-year dated
Rates you can cite
Verified salary and contractor day rate benchmarks are live for 22 global markets: we would rather launch a market with sourced data than rough estimates. Take-home calculators and pay insights are already live for 4 further markets, with full benchmarks following as that data is verified.
How we build the dataWhat we stand for
Five principles behind every number
Role, level, and location. Never blended.
A senior backend engineer benchmark in Dublin is built only from senior backend engineer data in Dublin. We do not blend seniority levels or mix regions: averaged-out numbers are not useful for real pay decisions.
Confidence scores on every benchmark
Every salary and day rate page shows a confidence score. High Confidence is citation-ready and requires corroborated source coverage. Moderate Confidence is directional. Limited Market Data means early signals only. The bar stays visible so you never over-weight a thin figure.
Built for contractors, not just employees
Dedicated contractor day rate benchmarks for 22 global markets, with IR35 context and structure-specific take-home across sole trader, PAYE umbrella, and director paths.
No paywalls, no sign-ups
Every benchmark, day rate, take-home calculator, and market intelligence report is free. Compensation data is most useful when everyone in a negotiation sees the same numbers.
Market direction, not just a snapshot
Market intelligence tracks which roles are hiring, which skills command a premium, and where pay is rising, so you can read where the market is heading.
Who uses it
One dataset. Three vantage points.
Candidates
Check your role, level, and location against the benchmark before a review or offer. Know where you stand before you sit down.
Contractors
Benchmark your day rate, then model take-home across structures: IR35 in the UK, sole trader vs director in Ireland.
Hiring teams & agencies
Set bands grounded in current data. Spot compression early. Put a number in front of a client you can defend.
