Who we are
PayMetric Labs is an independent salary and take-home pay research service, run by a remote team based in India, Germany, and the United States. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about any privacy matter at hello@paymetriclabs.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you submit directly, such as an email enquiry. We also collect limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, and measure the website, including device, browser, IP-derived location, page activity, and consent choices. We do not ask visitors to provide salary, tax, or financial-account information to use the public tools.
Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, operate and secure the website, understand whether content is useful, improve the service, meet legal obligations, and, where enabled and permitted, fund the free service through advertising.
Cookies, analytics, and choices
We use essential technologies for security and to remember privacy choices. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are used only according to the choices you make in our consent controls. You can reopen Cookie Settings at any time from the footer. See our Cookie Policy for further detail.
Calculator inputs
Salary, day-rate, and tax figures you type into our calculators are used only to produce your result. Most calculators run entirely in your browser; the Offer Checker sends your figures to our server to compare them with benchmarks and returns the result without storing them. We never ask for your name alongside these figures. Some tools put the figures in the page address so you can bookmark or share a result; anyone you share that link with will see them.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and the market you subscribed from with our email provider, Brevo, so we can send you updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Google advertising
When Google AdSense advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Where required, we request your consent before those technologies are used. You can learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services in its partner-sites policy.
Opting out of personalised advertising
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings or manage it in My Ad Center. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info, or, in Europe, at www.youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less tailored to you.
Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Before personalised Google ads are shown to visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we will collect consent through a Google-certified consent management platform. Where consent is refused, Google may still serve non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention.
Sharing and service providers
We share information only with service providers that help us host, secure, analyse, operate, or advertise the service, and with authorities where the law requires it. Providers process information under applicable contractual, technical, or legal safeguards. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legitimate business, legal, and security needs. We then delete, anonymise, or securely archive it as required.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data. You may withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Email hello@paymetriclabs.com to make a request; we respond within 30 days.
Children
PayMetric Labs is intended for working adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our data practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
